Brutes Roots not only has a dispensary but grows its own Cannabis as well! Here we review some of their flower called “Dopamine”. There isn’t much info out on the genetics of this strain, but one version of this strain is made by crossing Blueberry Banana and Grape Gas. These buds are big, super sticky, and dense.  With a plethora of orange pistils and shiny trichomes layered on top of the Flower. Not to mention all of the visible purple hues throughout, making for some beautiful-looking buds! Out of the bag, one can pick up a heavy, sweet, blueberry scent. An extremely bold, citrusy, creamy smell pours out of the bag upon opening! Think of the scent as some fresh blueberry pancakes at your favorite local diner…. That’s exactly how Dopamine smells, hence the play on words with its name. For those that do not know, the definition of Dopamine is: “a neurotransmitter, a chemical messenger in the brain that plays a crucial role in various functions, such as pleasurable activities”. Now on to the taste… Upon inhale, one can detect some smooth, berry, sweet, and earthy notes. Upon exhale, you can taste a creamy, herbal, citrusy palate. After consuming some “Dopamine,” one may feel focused, uplifted, cerebral, blissful, content, motivated, and/or body relaxation. The effects are very well-balanced. This is a great hybrid strain that would pair well with a morning or afternoon smoke sesh, maybe before ordering some Uber Eats and watching Netflix. From its looks, scent, touch, taste, and effectiveness, this is truly an overall great strain that we would get again and recommend others give a try.
